Completely across the road?! Are you Serious!?
She waits for the last car of the evening to head out. She knows which one it is, she does this every day. As the lights disappear into the distance, she starts her work. The threads are as thin as hair and she weaves her web with the greatest of ease. Once it is all done, she waits for her newly constructed trap to ensnare her meals and snacks. The bugs and flies don't know what they are in for as they fly along through the darkness. As the morning dew rests on the grass, she knows the night will soon end and she must gather her prizes before her web is destroyed by the first passerby. She hears the tap tap of Sasha's toenails and the patter of my feet as we near. She rushes to clear the web and is done just in time. She calls to her friend further along to warn him too. I was her final victim and get a face-ful of her web. I also don't hear her warning to her friend and soon find his web too. What a way to start the day. 6:15am I am pulling at the strands of spiderweb and making my way through my morning walk.
